How
to find Leylands Farm from Guildford
From Guildford, take the A246 road towards
Leatherhead and turn right, signposted Dorking, A25. On
entering this road, you will by-pass the village of Shere
and pass through the centre of the villages of Gomshall
and Abinger Hammer. Keep on the A25 towards Dorking.
Just out of Abinger Hammer you will see a village sign
for Wotton on your left and shortly after that, a sign
indicating a right turn for Abinger Common and Friday
Street. Turn right here into Hollow Lane. Drive for 3
miles into the Surrey Hills and, using them as LANDMARKS
ONLY, look for Friday Street on your left, then a little
further on Abinger Bottom, also on your left.
Continue on for a further mile until you see a sign for
Broadmoor, on your right; this is a left hand turn into
Leylands Lane. Some of the lanes carry no road names.
Turn down Leylands Lane and you will find Leylands Farm
approximately one mile down, on your left. The gate is
electrically operated and there are staddlestones on the
grass verge.
